The Pew Internet & American Life Project at the respected Pew Research Center says a December statistical survey of the 67 percent of Americans who say they use Facebook reveals as many as 61 percent of them say have taken or are taking an extended break "of several weeks or more" from Facebook.

Graph Search is the new, big addition to Facebook. Short version: you can ask your Facebook friends, in common-sense language, which hotels they like in Paris or which books to take on vacation. Advertising on social platofrms will be just fine - as long as it doesn't get intrusive or exploitive. We have available amazing analytics to focus appropriate advertising for its best use. Social platform needs to be smart and ethical. Facebook and Instagram seem to be losing that smarts and, perhaps, the ethics.
