Advertising on social platofrms will be just fine - as long as it doesn't get intrusive or exploitive. We have available amazing analytics to focus appropriate advertising for its best use. Social platform needs to be smart and ethical. Facebook and Instagram seem to be losing that smarts and, perhaps, the ethics.

Facebook and Instagram seem to have a problem with unbridled success because they insist on digging deeper to exploit users' data and privacy. It's like they want to program in a big, huge #FAIL.

In a conflict that actually began last summer, Facebook's Instagram heightened the conflict Dec. 5 when it summarily cut off support for Twitter Cards, which meant Instagram photos no longer show up in Twitter feeds.

Instagram, the widly popular photo sharing platform, announced it hit 80 million users yesterday with an app update that was missing one important feature. The update shuts off Instagram's "Find Your Friends" on Twitter feature; you know, kind of an important part of the whole sharing and socialweb thingy.
