Advertising on social platforms only makes sense as a way to fund those social platforms. Every information medium in history (with the exception of books and movies, for which one pays out right) has relied, ultimately, on advertising to sustain its operations. Duh…why should we think the social media should be any different?

Gizmodo published this headline: The Annoying Thing Facebook Is About to Do with Your Phone Numbers and Emails.

In a moderately medium announcement last week that inbound marketing giant Hubspot let us all know it has teamed up with social media management system Hootsuite to "make it easier for marketers to generate, nurture, and manage leads via social media, so they can finally 'close the loop' on their social media marketing efforts."
